We have a brother in our ward who has gone through a divorce and his children attend our ward every other week. There was a way in MLS where I could add members from another ward to our ward directory so they would show up on Primary rolls, etc. Is there still a way to do that?

In LCR you can add them as out of unit members, then they will show on the rolls in LCR

To find this, choose Membership > Manage Out-of-Unit Members from the LCR menu.

Can I do the same thing for a couple who owns two homes? Their primary residence is out of our state, but they recently bought a home in our ward and attend our ward when they are here.

How the technology can support members using more than one ward has been provided. Just make sure to follow the administrative guidance in Handbook 1, 13.6.4.

Yeah, but - you won't be able to assign them HT/VT - as teachers or visitees. For that, you'll need the membership record. And the home ward will take a hit on their HT/VT stats for the months they've gone.

You might want to call the home ward and work out a plan.
