Hi,
I'm a new Ward clerk. We can't seem to get the shipping confirmations sent to me when we order something from the catalog. The confirmations still go to the previous (twice removed) clerk. I called the caltalog people; they said the Bishop has to do it on CDOL (Church directory of organizations & Leaders), but I show up as the clerk on that website??? I also show up as the clerk on the new lds.org stake/ward website (but not on the "classic" stake/ward site.
Any suggestions
Thanks

In my experience (and to put it politely), there is a delay between the time CDOL is updated and Distribution Services gets the information. I would suggest you call back and let them know that you are correctly loaded in CDOL, but that it appears their Distribution database has not yet updated. Kindly ask them if they will update it.skeaterl wrote:I'm a new Ward clerk. We can't seem to get the shipping confirmations sent to me when we order something from the catalog. Our Distribution Center shipping confirmations have always gone to the Bishop (to be honest, in over 6 years as ward clerk, I never thought to request them to be sent to me). The Church is pretty particular to get the new Bishop information spread around quickly so that may resolve your issue easier.
Some may say that is extra work on the Bishop, but he already gets a lot of mail that just goes to the church anyway so these few envelops just go into the stack and we take care of it there.
