Family History Reports

#1

Post by cheriwhite69 »

I'm wondering about a few things.

This question applies to all the categories.

When the chart shows a number for members (ie Logging into FamilySearch) and it's increased from the previous month....are those NEW members that haven't logged in before....or are they counting the same log ins from the previous month? Is it counting only NEW LOG INS??

I'm just wondering if our numbers really jumped or if the same few people logged in a bunch of times last month and it raised the number.

Thanks in advance!!!

The numbers on that report are year-to-date numbers of members who have done the various activities on the report. So to take your example of "Members Logging In To FamilySearch": If the number in June was 80 and in July was 90, then that means 10 additional members, none of whom signed in to FamilySearch in January-June, signed in in July.

Members moving in or out of the ward can affect these numbers as well. If in July you had a large family of 10 move into your ward, and all of them had signed in to FamilySearch during the January-July time frame, that new family could account for the increase from 80 to 90 all by themselves. That's an extreme example, but hopefully it illustrates the point that members moving in or out can have an impact on the reported numbers.
