Regional Stake Conference Broadcast

#1

Post by ccmichaelson-p40 »

This Sunday, September 12, 2010 we are having a regional stake broadcast sent via a Satellite feed. Our Stake is in Heber City and the broadcast I believe is coming from the Marriott center at BYU.

Is there going to be an Internet feed as well and if so what would the stream URL be? Who could I contact to find out?

Thanks,
Cameron

I doubt if there would be one unless someone specifically needed it.

You'd have to work though your Priesthood leaders to find out if it's available and what the link would be.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Others in the Forum have suggested that your stake technology specialist might be able to get a URL to use to transmit the broadcast to a building in your stake that does not have satellite service, if there is not room for members of the stake to attend at a meetinghouse with satellite.

Other than that, a URL is not generally provided.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone knew if stake conference satellite broadcasts were more readily available over the Internet than a couple of years ago when this thread started. We would like to open a 2nd building for an upcoming stake conference and not hassle with webcasting from the satellite receiver in the stake center to the other building.

If it is a regional broadcast like above then yes there is almost always an Internet stream available. An email can be sent to streamingsupport@ldschurch.org to request that link.

Thanks for the info, Troy. That will help not only in our overflow building, but also as a backup in our stake center should something happen to the satellite feed.
