Missing Visiting Teaching Report

#1

Post by digitaldi-p40 »

We used to have a Visiting Teaching report on the MLS that showed each V.T. companionship, the sisters visit taught with addresses, phone number and birthdays. Any children in the household were shown. The report printed the District Supervisor's name and phone number. The report was on our system in August and as of today is no longer on our ward MLS system. The High Priests used to print the same report for their home teachers.

What happened to this report?

When I just checked it was still there (2.9.1). I generated it by going to Organizations > VT Organization > VT Assignments. I clicked on the check box for the companionship I wanted and the report was generated. It had all the info you mentioned.

See this image. Oh, and this is created with the test ward, so there shouldn't be an issue with posting it. If there is, a moderator will take care of it shortly.

Perhaps your update to version 2.9.1 didn't complete correctly.
If you are convinced you cannot generate the report, I'd download the MLS 2.9.1 installer and reinstall MLS. Don't uninstall 2.9 and you shouldn't have a problem.

The only person who should be doing any re-installs of the MLS software is the Stake Technical Specialist (STS), who has that responsibility. I'd suggest that you have your ward clerk contact the STS and ask for assistance if necessary.

I'm not sure if this is one of them, but I know some reports look different on screen then in print/print-preview. I know I've had a few problems like that - can't find what I know is there and to find out it's under my nose - just in disguise.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Yes, fine. Agreed. However, who installs it is irrelevant. The point is to try reinstalling. Only those who know the password and location of the file can access it anyway.

And before a reinstall, be sure to try the directions crislapi suggested to find the report. Don't forget to check the box for the companionship you need.

Organizations > VT Organization > VT Assignments.
Click on the check box for the companionship wanted.
Print.

Thank you for the replies. I did find the report. I saw that screen many times and did not realize the printed report from the screen was just what we needed!
