Awards/Momentos/Trophies Question

#1

Post by Hilohi »

I found a small (about 10" tall) statue that our stake was given as a community service award in one of our stake closets. Since we don't generally display items that aren't provided by the FM group, what should I do with this statue? It appears that it's been in storage for at least a few years and it's probably been forgotten about.

It's probably there because there's no safe place to display it. In this case "safe" doesn't mean "safe from theft" but "won't fall on someone - even in the presence of a rambunctious child".

If the concern is remembrance, I'd say take a photo and post that on the bulletin board.

As far as the statue itself, the best plan of action might be to put it back into storage until it too old for anyone to care about and can be disposed of discreetly. Maybe give it to whoever headed that project.
