Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
Does anyone know how you go about ordering the large ward boundary maps that typically hang in the clerks office? We have a specific request by the missionaries to have one of these maps to assist in their efforts. Our ward has grown considerably with new development (streets) so would be good to get an updated map.

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
I would suggest you ask your missionaries to make their request through their Mission Office (or at least clear it with them before you order one for them).
We have one of these maps on our Clerk's office. There is a phone Number printed on it (to call for a replacement) that I will post after the next time I am there. I am about ready to request another one myself as ours was last printed over 5 years ago and we have gone through 2 boundary changes (and a Stake change) since then. In my experience, they send these to the Bishop to you might want to alert him that it will come. The last time I ordered one, there was no charge. Be aware that the very newest development may still not be on the map...

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
I believe you can still download your official Ward / stake maps from Church Directory of Leaders (CDOL) in PDF form as well for printing by yourself. Our stake clerk printed these and gave them to our missionaries. A copy center can give you a large print from a PDFs file, and (11 x 17) is only a couple of dollars, I believe. Surely some stake member has access to even larger prints?
Obviously, only leaders have access to CDOL

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
I have not called this number in several years, but my handwritten note on our existing Boundary Map lists the Phone Number as 801-240-5370. Ours was printed in 2009. You will need your unit number and they mail it directly to the Bishop. Printed on the map is another number, 801-240-3500, but I think this one is for the Stake to report boundary changes.
In my experience, downloading the PDF does not give you any detail when you try to blow it up to large format (22" x 34" or larger). Only the major streets were shown and no neighborhood streets (but that was back in 2009 which is why I ordered one instead of printing my own). Our current boundary map is on "E" size paper which is 34" x 44." If you can download it in a large format with details, you might find an Architect or Engineer in your Stake who owns a plotter and is willing to print it for you. I do know that our local office supplies store has plotter capability if you take the file in on a thumb drive, but I have not checked their pricing.

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
I Called 2 days ago to order our new Ward boundary map. Called 801-240-5370 and was transferred to the Global Service Center when I told them I was looking for an updated ward boundary map. Verified my ward number and that I was a leader (I'm currently Assistant Clerk-Finance).
They asked if I wanted "poster size" which is 33 inches X 33 inches. I think they can print other sizes if you need something special, but this is the size we wanted. I asked them to just mail it to the Bishop and they said it would be printed and mailed in the next few days.
For the OP, your missionaries should be able to ask their Mission Office to order them one for their apartment.

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
We have not received it yet (or the Bishop has not brought it up to the Church yet). They did tell me they were a bit backed up so I have not been concerned if it takes a few weeks for them to send it out. I will ask the Bishop if he has seen it at the next opportunity.
Cost was not discussed when I had them on the phone and these used to be free (but tithing slips used to be free as well...). I am Assistant Clerk - Finance and no IROP has shown up for this yet.

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
Our new Boundary map arrived today. I have attached a pic of it in the Clerk's office, with an inkpen clipped to the top for size reference. The size is 36" X 36" (roughly 91 X 91 cm). One nice feature is it shows the Unit # of the wards/stakes on your boundaries. I also snapped a pic of the contact information printed on the map itself. There has not been a charge for it.

Maybe someone should point out that the URL is wrong.davesudweeks wrote:I also snapped a pic of the contact information printed on the map itself.

Re: Large Ward Boundary Wall Maps
Update on the cost: We received an IROP today for US$5.00 for the Boundary Map.
I have ordered these before and they used to be no-cost. However, Tithing slips/envelopes used to be no cost as well...
