Audio/Video backup for Satellite Broadcast in Stake Centers

#1

Post by brycewj »

Does any one have a set up that can help me pick the correct grab equipment ( phone voice backup) for my rack , my power supply is 120VAC 60HZ I have XLR hook up at the rack and audio distribution amps with RCA/BNC fittings. Can you send me pictures and the pros & con of this set up.

Can I connect the camera Video in feed to a selector switch to select either satellite or camera video to one Modulator for viewing instead of installing a separate Modulator for the camera.

Thanks

Although there are certainly a variety of setups in different buildings, the most common setup is for the camera feed to be modulated to one channel (in our stake center it's Ch 6) and the satellite feed to be modulated to another (Ch 3 for us). So you might check to see if that is already in place.

If it's not in place, you should work with your FM group to get it set up. Modulators and the satellite receiver are in their area of responsibility, so it's best for you not to modify this equipment without close coordination with the FM group.

Thanks I only wanted to know if it was possible with out using a separate modulator due to space in the rack, I have more them one language to be watched at the same time during Gen.Conf, but the camera is only used for Stake conference due to seating and tv viewing in rooms. I will try it out and let you all know

I think we had solved the problem with the crab kit, as a back up for audio during satellite broad casts and when GA use a lap top or Ipad in the stake centers. We were experiencing cross feed and humming due to power supply transformers.
