Contact Settings > Mobile Phone : Google Voice carrier?

Church Account is the primary user account (user name and password) for accessing online Church resources. Church Account was formerly known as LDS Account. Hi, thanks again for having these forums here by the way; love them! :D

Question - I want to change my Mobile Phone at https://account.lds.org/contactInformation to a Google Voice #.

So far i've tried it twice (once today, once a week ago) and I never receive the Verification text message.

Is this a known issue with some carriers or just the Google Voice carrier?

P.S. Everything works fine with old phone number through my Boost Mobile (Sprint) carrier.

Thanks for any knowledge that you have or can find. I'll continue to use my old # for now.

According to this post the church's SMS system does not support Google Voice so it is not possible to get a verification text.
