Another account has membership number

When trying to input my membership number into my account, and error message appeared saying that my birth date or membership number were wrong or my membership number was connected to another account. After checking for human error, it became apparent that there was another account. When checking the family computer and doing some more research, I found the account that it should be talking about, but I cannot figure out the password. The person who set it up can not remember what password they made for it, and the only recovery option goes to a phone number that no longer belongs to anyone in our family. This prevents us from being able to use the usual method listed for this kind of situation. How can we get this old account to be forgotten so that I can use my account with my membership number?

You can reset the password by using the "forgot password" link and using the MRN & Birthdate option.

I tried what you said about asking for the other accounts password. The problem is, my old accounts email is deactivated. I have a new account, but I cannot put my membership on it. I tried just typing in the membership number and then having them email me new things, they said they are unable to do that service at this time. HELP! I would really like to get this up and running so I can pay my tithing on line. Thanks,

Your clerk will be able to help you contact the Global Service Center who will be able combine your accounts or delete one as needed.

You should be able to reset the password without having access to the email address. Click on the "Forgot your password" link and try using your membership record number to reset the password. If that doesn't work, you will need to work with your ward clerk to contact the Global Service Center.
