Changing passwords

Church Account is the primary user account (user name and password) for accessing online Church resources. Church Account was formerly known as LDS Account. This forum is a space to discuss all things related to Church Accounts (registration, account recovery, user experience, vulnerabilities, etc.).

I am serving as a "Long-term volunteer" in a FamilySearch Library. My ward calling is as a Temple and FamilySearch Consultant. I have no access to Church databases, or other sensitive information, other than FamilySearch Family Tree. Why is it necessary for me to change my password every six months? At 80 years of age it's a major pain to have to do this.
