I have been able to edit my file but my sign name is m old name.

DO I have to set up a new sign in like from brown to black and if so will I have a problem using the same password and email address?:o

Are you talking about your LDS Account? If that is correct then you do not need to create a new account. You can edit your profile to include changing your name, your user name, and the e-mail addresses. But it is not necessary to change your user name if that works for you. And you do not need to edit your e-mail addresses, unless of course you change any of them.

While you can change your name in the ldsaccount, I don't think that's reflected on the church records, ward directory, etc. If fact my last name in my lds account does not match what's on the church records. You'll have to work with your ward membership clerk to get those items updated.
