Access to YW records by one having a custom calling

#1

Post by jathegenial »

Our ward YW organization has a sister assigned a "custom calling." She is designated as a "Personal Progress Specialist," and performs the important function of tracking all the young women. Our YW President wants this sister to have access to the records of all the Young Women. This seems reasonable. The Access Table is not helpful here. The way I read it, access by the YW Secretary is not noted either. How can the "PPS" be authorized access, if it can be done? If she were made an Assistant YW Secretary, would that work?

Assuming that assistant YW Secretary is a standard position, that would probably work.

Is the assistant YW secretary a standard position that would allow access to Personal Progress or is it a custom calling? We have a sister recently called to such calling but she is not able to access Personal Progress. Can you help please?

Assistant YW secretary is a custom calling and would not provide any rights. The only way I've seen this done is to make the sister an adviser in each of the classes.
