Our stake recently converted a branch to a ward. What, as stake clerk, must I do to make this conversion in MLS and online? (This action was, of course, approved by the First Presidency.)

See this post from someone else who went through this process. It's not entirely clear whether the CDOL changes were initiated by CHQ or if a call to the Global Service Center was necessary. But in any case, once the CDOL changes are done, changing the branch to a ward, then the ward clerk just needs to do a Unit Data Refresh in MLS and the changes will come down to MLS.

As a stake clerk, you would need to do a couple of things in MLS:

• Process the Leader and Unit Change Request for the new bishop.
• In System Options > Units, enter the name for the new ward.
