Hi, I'm making our Sacrament Meeting bulletin for the first time this week (short notice). Am I understanding you correctly? I cannot use a Snippet of the church logo on the bulletin?

That is correct. You may use the full name of the church if used in connection with the local unit name but you cannot use the logo or try to make the full name of the church look similar the logo.

I being in the church all my life and only having tiny callings. I can say this one is at least the most fitting for my talents since I am a graphic designer and a small business owner that does screen printing and embroidery. I came on here since everyone always has an opinion to how you do things when it isn't them doing it. I came to look at the rules of using the church's name on the programs since I have to look at the whole copyright issues in my line of work. This gave me the info; which I printed, so I can show anyone that wants to argue with me in the ward about how I design the layouts each week/month. For those of you that are looking for help on a layout template; I am including an Adobe Illustrator file that I have come up with to make life easier. All you have to do is subscribe to Adobe Illustrator's creative cloud version and you have full access to how to use this template. I am keeping a running build to the template so I can cycle through the layouts over time. This is done by selecting layers and turning the eyeball to that layer on or off. Just fill in your info and viola you have a very quick template. This allows you to design the front and that is where you should spend your talents to make things interesting like a book cover of sorts. Since I just got called as of yesterday, this only has 2 different front covers. Sorry I don't have more for you folks. This at least will get you started with creative juices.

Again once I create a new cover on a new layer I put that layer into the Front layer and then into the Themes sub-layer. This way I just go to the Themes and turn on/off the layers that I want. then I save over the template as a new template so it continues to grow for me.
