Ooops, just saw this after posting the above comment. But then again I`m not sure if that is only US based PC`s or is it worldwide?...

anyways, mls is running on all win10 pc's now and one was done back in march odd (becuase the clerk upgraded to win10 and then PF nor GSC had a win7 iso in spanish for us -parent language version- , so I left that spanish language win10 in place after getting mls to work with the restore to factory setting trick!) however I guess sophos isn´t really running at full capacity
Did you find a solution to this? I had a ward take it upon themselves to upgrade manually without waiting, and for the most part everything works except Sophos. I haven't called GSC about it yet, but seeing as the other computers in our stake are transitioning fine on the church update method, I may need to do some resetting on this machine.
Sophos is one of the items that won't work if you go via the Microsoft upgrade route. I read somewhere that Sophos has been modified to work with W10.

Sophos will work correctly with a fresh install of any modern version of windows.

Its a user group issue that breaks as 10 does not use those for sophos.

We had 2 computers fail the windows 10 upgrade and when they rebooted they could not access anything on the internet. Ping of internet addresses worked but ping by name failed to resolve DNS address. We fixed the issue by running the commands found at http://www.velocitymicro.com/SupportArt ... le_959.php

The next day the upgrade happed but it deleted the default printer on one computer and it had to be re-installed.

The printer issue is common when upgrading to windows 10 especially if you have an older printer. But if the printer is too old or the printer drivers haven't updated for a long time it can cease to function so be aware of that.

Two computers in our stake building displayed notices this morning, when logged in to, informing that they will be upgraded this week. Way to go!

Thanks for this. At least 3 computers in our stake had this problem this morning, and another 3 or 4 in a neighboring stake.

I'm the finance clerk of our Ward
Our computer was upgraded as was everyone.

However our states:

Activation failed because this device doesn't have a valid digital entitlement or product key.
Error Code: 0x803F7001

Is there a tech support email that I can contact to get this resolved before the Free trial period ends?

Thanks,

So does anyone know the process for fixing this if someone upgraded manually? I have one computer in our stake where I think this happened and now Sophos Firewall won't run. Do I need to just uninstall Sophos and reinstall it? Or do I need to revert the computer back to windows 7 so it can be upgraded correctly, or is there something you can do with the user groups to correct the issue?

One of my 12 computers was upgraded manually, and Sophos wouldn't work. the help desk told me to revert to Windows 7 and wait for the upgrade to be downloaded from Church Headquarters, which occurred a couple of days later. In another case, where the Windows 10 upgrade failed (the computer rebooted continually), I had to reimage the computer to Windows 7 with the Church's image (no Windows 10 image is available yet) and then wait for the upgrade - which came in 24 hours.
