Fundraising Online Donations?

#1

Post by fumagatos »

My ward fundraises for scouts with a Christmas Tree Drive each year. The scout committee would love to set-up an online portal so that people could donate online or by check. We see where this is easily possible through Pay Pal or the like. The challenge is that we don't have a place for the funds be deposited. Does anyone know if a) online donations would be allowed per current rules? and b) if by chance yes, how could we set-up an account so that the online donations could have a place to go.

Thank you!

There's nothing like that within the church system. Having something outside of the church would be questionable as I believe there's a prohibition on any other accounts.

See Handbook 1: 14.6.7, 14.6.8.
