On the latest monthly unit statement there is the following entry:

A payment was issued by your disbursing bank, but no matching record has been recorded by your unit. Please transmit payment record using MLS or report the payment to the Church administration office.

There is a reference number, a date, a description that says nothing more than "/" and an amount in ()s

The same reference number appears next to two other transactions this month resulting in one reference ID appearing on three different dates - both of which are later in the month than the mystery transaction.

The specified dollar amount has never been used in any transaction that I can find within MLS.

Any ideas what this issue might be?

The best thing I can think to do is call LUS. They can help track down more details as to the origin of the expense or if there is an accounting error.

LUS = Local Unit Support.
