Create a Report Discussion

I have been working with custom reports and have a question that has me a little stuck.
I would like to create a report that omits specific members. Ideally this is something like "Name" is not "XXX". There are a number of criteria that you can use to include or exclude specific groups or categories of individuals but I'm struggling to find one that can omit a specific individual.
The closest I have come to use to "Individual Email" or "Individual Phone" along with the "Does Not Contain" filter, but that depends on the member having that field populated with a unique field which isn't always the case. Any ideas or something I'm missing?
