Missionary Recommendation Form Error

I am a stake tech specialist. A prospective missionary in my stake says that his bishop has already activated things on his side.

When this prospective missionary goes to the Missionary Recommendation Form in his account he gets an error about needing a role.

It says that if the bishop has done their part they are supposed to contact their stake tech specialist (me), so here we are. I have no idea what to do.

Please advise me....

I'd toss it back to the ward clerk to work out. Bottom line, the MRN (Membership Record Number) of the person the bishop has approved must match the MRN on the account the prospective missionary is trying to use. (I'll let you use your imagination on all the ways that can go astray. Duplicate membership records, names confusingly similar, child using parent's account, or wrong MRN on the account.) Since a STS doesn't have access to MRNs, it seems kind of silly to hand it off to him.

But first, I'd make sure 24 hours has lapsed since the bishop did his update. Systems sometimes need a little time to coordinate.
