Hello - first day - just was called but found out that we have 2 checks left. (preprinted check stock) Need to reorder asap but no one here knows how to do that. Any advice?

Thanks in advance

Congratulations on the new calling.

A quick search of the handbooks seems to indicate the procedure is not listed there, but that's not a big surprise that detailed procedures aren't listed there. If you're a ward clerk or ward finance clerk, have you asked the stake finance clerk or stake clerk? How about a clerk in a neighboring ward? If you're a stake clerk or stake finance clerk, you might ask the corresponding clerk in one of the wards. There must be someone in your stake who is familiar with the procedure.

I'm a ward membership clerk, so I don't have access to finance stuff, but a wild guess would be to check LCR (Leader and Clerk Resources under Tools and Support in the menu that pops up at lds.org if you have signed in to your LDS Account (assuming your new calling has been properly registered in the system). I suspect there _might_ be menu item, likely under Finance, to order checks.

Another wild guess would be to search the office for a check [re]order form.

Actually there is no standard procedure for ordering checks because the church knows what checks you've been issued and what checks you've written and automatically sends new checks when you get low.

However, that should have already happened long before you're down to 2 checks (we received new checks a few months ago and we still had about 100 checks left). So first check with your bishop to make sure he doesn't have the checks around somewhere that you don't know about.

If you can't find them then you need to call the Global Service center and ask them about the issue. They should be able to say whether you've already been sent checks and when they were shipped. If for some reason they haven't been shipped they can initiate a shipment (but it will probably take a couple weeks for the printing and shipping but maybe they can put a rush on it). If the checks were sent and lost then they'll have to both initiate another shipment and put a stop on all those checks that were lost.
