The home page of LDSTech is so wide that it has a horizontal scroll bar when viewed at anything less than about 1230 pixels. That seems to be a bit greedy in terms of screen space.

Clearly, the trend is for higher resolution monitors, but according to the most recent statistics I can find, 40% or so of users have monitor width of 1024 or less. Because of the particular audience of LDSTech, it's certainly possible that the visitors to LDSTech have wider than average screens.

Nonetheless, it is still widely acknowledged that web sites designed for 1024x768 hit the sweet spot. Is there a good reason why LDSTech needs to be so wide?

I would note that this problem is just with the home page, as near as I can determine, and that other pages seem to display at 1024x768 with no horizontal scroll bar.
