Should the LCR forum have subforums?

As so many things are being done in LCR now, I wonder if the LCR forum organization should change so that it has subforums? Of course, it's always a problem getting people to post things where you think they should be (and the moderators sometimes move conversations to a more appropriate forum). I'm just wondering if it might help people better to have other LCR subforum options.

I haven't looked at things extensively, but, for starters, I could see subforums for things like Finance and Home / Visiting Teaching as being useful.

I don't know if the forum software allows endless subforums or if LCR would need to move up a level to get subforums. Then there's the problem of what belongs in LCR and the completely separate clerk support forums.

I find that when I to have time to try looking at posts to help people that I often times skip over LCR because there are too many posts to sift through. Yet, when we had more specific-purpose tools and related forums, it was much easier to delve in and participate. As the church seems to be throwing so many things in LCR, maybe it would be good to think about changing the forum organization.

We'll have to discuss that. I know one of the issues is that in the past when we've sub-divided a forum, we've gone though all the old threads and re-categorized them. At nearly 1300 topics, that's a rather daunting task.

I would think you would want it divided into sub-forums, it makes sense to me.
But then I would have no idea as to how you could change existing over.
