Ward clerk recording a convert baptism

#1

Post by natecottle »

We recently had a convert baptized in our stake and the mission has asked the Ward to record the baptism locally. The ward membership clerk is struggling on how to do that and I wondered if there was any direction on how that is done if they are not a child. Is the stake clerk I don’t see the same thing he sees so I wondered if someone had done this in their own unit or if there is some direction.

The clerk should select Membership > Create Record from the LCR menu. Then they should be able to just follow the prompts. Since the person is probably over 8 it will give a message after entering the birthdate indicating that the mission usually enters convert baptisms. However, it gives the option to continue so he should be able to continue on and create the record and then print the baptism certificate.
