2 callings throwing off the permissions on lds.org?

Not sure if this is a accurate assessment, but here I go.

I'm the stake technology Specialist, and I've never been able to register successfully for a PVC account as it says "i have the wrong calling" I'm a cub scout leader on the ward level (MLS) however I've checked and double checked that in the stake computer I'm set to the Stake Technology specialist. I've verified that its not a custom calling but in fact the default calling for "stake tech specialist" A few months ago I finally sent screen shots to HQ and after quite a bit of back and forth they finally gave me a pVC account.

So I go and try today and download MLS software and I see now its guarded by a similar permissions block on the new website.... I can't see any of the software when logged in. I'm guessing its the same thing. Does anybody have any insight? Should 2 callings affect how the validation happens? Or is something screwy on my stake MLS computer?

In CDOL it is showing you in a custom calling for your stake, instead of the standard Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Specialist. Talk to your stake clerk and get that corrected.

I have a stake calling and a ward calling and have the same problem and was unable to get it resolved, so we have a different fix.

We have another member called to fill my stake calling and so I use this person's name for access to work at stake level.

If this is for Clerk Resources they have fix it to work with multiple callings now.

I would suggest that you get it resolved. I would never allow someone else to use my LDS Account to do anything. I might do it for them, but I would never allow them to Sign In and do it on my account.

Did you have the same problem, or was it that the stake calling left you with fewer permissions than the ward calling? That problem has been fixed, as Ryan Jones just posted.

Before I give up on something that works I will check and see if it has been fixed. My guess is that there are too many things that need to change to make the perfect system.

Password sharing is very risky and is usually against the Terms of Service (TOS) for most sites. Generally speaking you should never give out your password to anyone. The Terms of Service for LDS.org don't specifically mention password sharing, but there is something about "nor will you impersonate another user". Although, sounds like that's not the intent of what you are doing. In any case, someone should advise your friend that they should not allow others to sign-in as them.
