Hi,

In the letter released this week it states that the General Womens Session is 2 hours (see page 4):
https://www.lds.org/bc/content/ldsorg/c ... f?lang=eng

But on the church website it lists 90 minutes:
https://www.lds.org/general-conference/ ... s?lang=eng

Does anyone have a source confirming either one or the other?

Thanks in advance!

In my 24 years of experience, it has run anywhere from just over an hour to the full two hours. My swiss-cheese memory seems to lock in at just under 90 minutes on average, but a more scientific study may prove otherwise. The sisters never seem to complain if it runs under 90 minutes, and the Primary children seem to start fussing at about an hour.

But things are different this time. This meeting used to be held the week before General Conference. For the first time this conference it is being held in the 2-hour evening slot where General Priesthood Meeting was held, so it may start being longer now.

And we have a new prophet in town.

Another source, the Churchwide calendar also shows the event lasting 90 minutes.

The General Women’s Session (including the General Young Women Meeting and General Relief Society Meeting before it) has been 90 minutes as far back as 1993, with the exception of the last two General Women’s Sessions, which were 75 minutes.

The General Priesthood Session was 120 minutes from 1983 to 2015, then 90 minutes in 2016 and 2017. However, at the most recent conference, it was back to 120 minutes.

Because things have changed a lot recently, I'm not sure what times to expect this conference.
