Missing deposits

A ward in our stake reported the following problem, and I'm stumped:

The ward transmitted four week's deposits in June, all the deposits show up on the June Financial Statement, but two week's deposits do not show up in that ward's MLS, they just are not there. They obviously were transmitted because they show up on the June Financial Statement. What is going on here? Any ideas?

One possibility is that they restored a backup somewhere along the way that was made prior to the two deposit weeks. That would remove the deposits from MLS, but of course they were already transmitted to the Church.

In addition to what Alan said it is also possible that during a patch upgrade to MLS version 3.0 or 3.1 that the problem was created. Try asking the STS to do a complete install of MLS and then check the data. Make sure MLS is backed up before doing this. If that does not correct the problem try restoring previous backups, starting with the most current backups, other than the one you just made, and work backwards. Doing the complete install willl most likely rectify the situation however.

This worked for us. Some units that took the patch online appeared to have lost financial data (along with a lot of other things). Almost all of it came back when a complete MLS install was done.

We did have one unit that restored an old backup, though. So be careful.
