Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

There's no way to see this on-line. The closest you can get is to ask the ward fiancé clerk for the balance. Donations are confidential, so he won't be able to reveal who or how much. Just the balance.

With all the recently announced organizational changes, I must have missed this new position.

That would cause quite a stir in the YSA wards.

I would also recommend you note when the balance is checked. Missionary funds are deducted from the ward account early in the month (usually in the first week as I recall) so knowing if they have been already deducted for the month will help you understand the status of the balance.
