I have recently moved and have just found out that the house i live in is right on the boundary to another stake however the houses all around me still in the ward I am in. Am I able to stay in same ward as the chapel is 3 houses down whilst the other stake the wards chapel is 10 minutes away.

You should attend the ward whose boundaries you live in. Exceptions would require the approval of both bishops, both stake presidents and the Office of the First Presidency. (Handbook 1: 13:6, second paragraph)

Those who live in the Midwest would be envious of a 10-minute drive.
