LDS.org down for maintenance when trying to sync

Unable to sync. Getting error message that says LDS.org is down for maintenance. Been seeing this all day.
iPhone 8
iOS 12
Any suggestions?

If you are trying to sync LDS Tools, the servers are down and will not be up again until later this evening at the earliest.

Is there a current server status site to see if its actually down? I haven't been able to sync on my iPhone and iPad nor has my wife on her iPhone since the beginning of March.

It hasn't been down that long. What version of the app are you running? It may be out of date.

It does seem to be down now, (April 14, 2019)...is that correct? Is there an estimate of when it will be back up?
Also - the post a couple of messages back brings up something that would be good to have...some kind of “status” page we could go to in order to see if problems we are seeing are known, or if it is something with our own local networks (which happens quite often when using our meetinghouse Wi-Fi). Something akin to
https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ or
https://status.aws.amazon.com/ would be nice....
