Members Moved to Address Unknown
Is there any plan to provide an ability for the Bishop or Branch President to add a free-text information field to the area for move member records to "Address Unknown?" There are many times when the Bishop or Branch President may have some information that would be helpful in locating the individual, but the ward does not have the ability to track them. For example, we have recent had to move a member's records to "Address Unknown" when we know for a fact that the member relocated to Melbourne Australia, but there is no way to indicate that information that may help to find a member. It would have likely been helpful to identify that information, but there is no free-text field that can be used to add pertinent information. In this case, the Mission Home for the Australia Melbourne Mission may have access to something that will assist with finding the individual.

We rarely know about features ahead of time. You can suggest it using the feedback link in LCR.
Generally, I think the church is extremely leery about free-form text fields as they might be used to record things that probably shouldn't be recorded.

Whether this was the correct course of action, when I was Ward Clerk, I would put the city name and country in the respective boxes. At least this would be an indication for the AUF department, that the member in question was believed to be in that location.brother.john wrote:Is there any plan to provide an ability for the Bishop or Branch President to add a free-text information field to the area for move member records to "Address Unknown?" You can call the membership department, they'd be able to help. I personally wouldn't ever code this into the system because it would seem like an 'easy out' for some without doing some due diligence.
