Printing Ward Directory

I and some others my age are not computer literate. How do we print the ward directory of the ward in which we live; we used to be able to do in in our previous ward (about a year ago) but now only get the household names and have to look at each one to find the information we need; awfully time consuming. Just a plain printed Ward directory showing Heads of households, children, phone and address in alphabetical order, without having to key in on each name individually. Thanks Mike Nicholes miknik@aol.com

I think that's not too hard.
  • Go to the directory on LDS.org.
  • Make sure the drop down list on the top left is set to your ward.
  • Click the "Print" button in the top right.
  • Select the items you want to see. (A sample will appear to the right).
In your case, you'd want to make sure there's a checkbox in "Phone Number", "Individual Details", "Children".

Note: Some individuals or families may have selected a privacy setting that will prevent them from appearing in the directory. In some countries, like the UK, that's the default setting resulting in many families missing from the directory. Not much that can be done about it since it's a "law of the land" deal.

Can't find the list of all ward members. I don't want to print at this time.

The print button on directory.churchofjesuschrist.org is not working. It pops up for a second then disappears.

Seems to work fine for me.

My standard advise when having problems with church webpages is to use incognito mode. The church website has issue with old cookies that can result in odd behavior.

Yeah, it's not working. normal or incognito. Just blinks when clicked. Same behavior on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. If I change views from Directory to Organizations I get a message that lists can only be printed if you are a certain leader. Which apparently I'm not (Ward Temple & Family History Leaders apparently don't qualify). Then for a brief flash I see the print popup you mentioned, then it disappears. I can not get it to reappear. So it's just for leaders, and the notification for that doesn't appear when clicking the print button, which it should, it only pops up after bouncing around various menus for a while.

According to the Access Table, the Ward Temple and Family History Leader should be able to print a member list. If you are a Temple and Family History Consultant, I don't think so.

Whoa, it worked. I hit it about 3 dozen times in a spasm of random clicks. Suddenly the print dialog appeared and it worked. Weird.

PRINT button/icon was not found on the Ward Directory page as of On Oct 18th 2023 . Not able to obtain PDF copy of ward directory now using Firefox on Desktop PC . What happened to the PRINT button/icon on the Ward Directory page? When trying to use Edge or Chrome was able to print basic ward directory for households only. But not able to print ward directory with callings and phone numbers and email addresses for other household members as before. Please restore the PRINT button/icon on the Ward Directory page.

The person or people you are addressing this to most likely will not see your post. The Tech Forum is user-to-user discussion and self help. Those who can address the issue normally do not visit the forum. You can provide feedback using the feedback link found at the bottom of most Church web pages. Since the Ward Directory and Map page does not have a footer with the feedback link then use any other web page with the feedback link. Make sure to identify the web page you are providing feedback about.
