LDS Tools sync's imporperly on iPhone

I am having a problems with my iPhone 7 sync in my gospel library. If the church missionary program is going with iPhone and ipads then surely there shouldn't be an issue with this problem. I have a kindle and it sync my tags and other markings on my scriptures at the lds.org study tools so I know that is working but my iPhone will not sync with everything else. Can anyone help me with this issue? many time the only device that I have is my iPhone. so then I can't recall any of my saved items and reading that I did on my kindle.
