There are ways that searching could be enhanced. These include features that I have seen in other applications (such as Word Cruncher), which includes the LDS scriptures:
- Be able to toggle similar word searching on and off (such as returning instances of the word "find" when the user asks for "finding")
- Provide for adjacent word searching ("and it came to pass" would search only for that phrase, not for the individual words).
These are the two big desires.

To avoid adding more buttons, you could make it so that happens only if you enclose the phrase in quotes. So "and it came to pass" would only search for that phrase but if the quotes are left out, it looks for scriptures with that combination of key words.markcannon wrote:- Provide for adjacent word searching ("and it came to pass" would search only for that phrase, not for the individual words).
That's how Google works.
Speaking of which, it would be nice to use the minus modifier. So "faith -works" would only find verses where faith is mentioned, but not works. Again, that's how Google works.
