Re: Lexmark printer: no more local scans?

One of the things that I have encouraged my patrons to do is bring a thumb drive. You can scan straight the the thumb drive and you don't have to put it on the churches computers. It can be edited on the thumb drive at the computer and attacked to the Family tree from there. Clean and simple and yo...

Re: Emergency Plan

More updates in. Find that the 1 inch notebooks are starting to get full so if you are starting fresh this might be better in a 1 1/2" notebooks. Here is a link for preparedness https://www.fema.gov/media-library/assets/documents/3261?fbclid=IwAR1yDoNaNzoxbR0U46wntB5uqohkU-vHT9xsGvsBHJPbyRwPmkC...

Re: Lexmark printer: no more local scans?

Was this ever solved? I was just approached about our lexmark not scanning from the family history app on the printer and not scanning from a program on the computer. Don't know how long they have had a problem. "months" is the answer I get. Has it been a year? No idea. As best I can tell ...

Re: Active vs. Less Active

There seems to be 2 questions here. Can you get enough numbers and can you get them geographically. So the first step is raw numbers. Say you currently have 2 wards and the 125 is the mimimum desired goal. That means to make 3 wards you would need the sacrament attendance in the 2 wards to be 125 X ...

Re: member login/ contact global service center

We finally got through to global service center. It took nearly an hour on hold to get through and 3 1/2 hours trying over all. Yes he is a temple worker. He drives 120 miles each way to work at the temple at least 2 days a week and he is doing something with scheduling temple works besides. I do fi...

member login/ contact global service center

I have a member who's login is messed up. It gives a message that makes it sound like he is an employee. It then says to contact global service center. He has been unable to reach them for a week and asked for help. He keeps getting hold music or being told to call back during business. So I am tryi...

identifying problems

Yet again today there was a long stretch where the church websites were unavailable if a login was required. Go to log in for LCR, the seminary site, directory or maps and the login screen freezes and eventually the message website down for maintenance appears. This problem usually happens roughly b...

Re: Ward Maps

We are trying to provide an emergency preparedness map for our ward to show household member locations. This works for most but some do not work. For example we have 8 households in a trailer park which live on different streets inside the trailer park. The household address all start with 2021 Mah...

Re: Advice for Moving Records

I had decent luck with a web site called Spokeo about 5 years ago. We paid for just 3 months and worked hard to try all the unknown names. It got lots of null results and old results and names that there were simply to many options for but it also solved about a dozen that weren't working any other ...
