Out-of-unit householders/fellowshippers

I am a member - and former AWML - of a YSA ward that is chartered by a regular stake. However, our boundaries now span multiple stake boundaries. I've found that this can cause some administrative difficulties. For example: 1) The missionary reports don't show any fellowshippers who live within our ...

Idea: View that displays ancestors with no father/mother

I primarily use FamilySearch not necessarily to go looking at names for whom I've already done research, but to make my family line go back as far as possible. As such, what I'd like to see is a way to jump to the ends of all my family lines. For example, a lot of the family history work on my Dad's...

Jumping to highlighted text

I'd very much like to be able to jump to a scriptural phrase that I already highlighted. This would make finding the scriptural reference easier, for example, the next time I am asked to give a talk in which I might use that reference.

How to stream General Conference to TV

This thread is supposed to be kind of a resource for those who can only get Conference via a computer or mobile device. I'm an Apple guy, so I can only help with use of Apple technologies. However, if you'd like help with streaming Conference using any technology, please feel free to post a question...

Re: Want automated home/visiting teaching scheduler

At the very least, it'd be nice if I could log in and see who I'm home teaching, who's my companion, and who's home teaching me. As for invites, iCloud and Google Calendar allow you to add invitees. Edit: Here's how to send & accept invites from an iPhone or iPad. Look's like invites appear in t...

Re: YouTube over meetinghouse wireless connection

I now remember that I upgraded the firewall a week or so ago, so the wireless connection is using a different path than the wired FHC connection on port 2. Is that the problem? Has the Church blocked YouTube on the 192.168.x.x IP addresses? I know the church has traditionally used the least restric...

Re: Bandwidth limitations on contracted ISPs

I don't know what service provider they use at the stake center (we have Comcast XFINITY and AT&T UVerse in our area) or what kind of plan they have, but the WiFi seems a little slow. In an ideal world, teachers would download whatever online content they want to use in their lessons, before the...

September 2014 CES devotional recording availability

Will someone please tell me when I will be able to watch, or listen to, a recording of the most recent CES devotional? I missed it.

Re: How do I sync FamilySearch with Ancestry.com?

A second issue is that a number of those people might already be in FS. You should check for duplicates. Especially before submitting names to the temple. Checking for duplicates is easier to do if you're adding them one-by-one. Even if you are a convert, there are other members out there doing the...

How do I sync FamilySearch with Ancestry.com?

I just found some information on Ancestry.com that I'd like to add to my FamilySearch tree. How do I do that?
