Re: APK of previous version

Found a source for APKs, but I've now come to the conclusion that they've also altered the scripture downloads (others work, but not the scriptures) so that they'll only work in v5.x. So, I'm screwed, as is anyone who doesn't already have the scriptures downloaded in a new version. No gospel library...

APK of previous version

Does anyone by chance have the APK for the previous version of GL? GL 5.x in the play store didn't know it wasn't compatible with my hardware - thanks bunches to whoever sets up the play store requirements - so it installed over 4.x, but won't work (stops at 3/4 of load, claiming I'm not connected t...

Re: I see this app is still worthless

And it let me download the latest version from the google play store onto my old Note 8, but now it claims I'm not connected to the internet. Nevermind that the play store knows I'm on the internet, or that Firefox knows. The Gospel Library app apparently doesn't know its own system requirements, so...

Re: I see this app is still worthless

I have seen this exact same behavior, during church, *after having used the app that morning* - with all books already downloaded (I download all content and keep it updated at least a couple times per week). The problem is as follows: 1) They do not have any way to disable downloads without disabli...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

I just tested the old version of the app (3.2.14) on an Android 4.1, Android 5, and Android 6 device. As described above, if you're on the main library screen in the old version of the app, pressing back will return to the home screen. This is different from the new version of the app. However, pre...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

Gospel Library 4.0.3 is now available on the Google Play store and will be available on the Amazon Appstore in the next few days. Here are some of the improvements: • Highlight colors are now indicated in the sidebar for user-created notes. Nope, not really. In the scriptures, the little tiny verse...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

I think I understand what you're suggesting now. There are two opposing use cases. What if you follow a link from a manual to 1 Nephi 3:7, then want to go back to the manual? You wouldn't want back to take you to 1 Nephi, then to Book of Mormon. The way it's functioning currently, you can follow a ...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

I would like to see that again. I need to close the app, not just leave it to jump to another app. Generally 'closing' an Android app is over-rated. Most normal (non-game) apps will not use up battery when in the background and will be closed down by Android automatically when it needs memory for o...

Re: Gospel Library Android 4.0.3

Now let's hope the next one includes a way to exit the app without having to hit the back button through every page you've been to since opening the app. Could you describe what you're seeing, and what you'd expect? I just hit the home button to go to the home screen, or the overview button to swit...
