Mormon.org

The Spanish version of Mormon.org is now available for beta testing at http://cint.mormon.org/spa. This release (which is still in beta) marks the first time the new Mormon.org will be available in Spanish. As such, the new Spanish version of Mormon.org will feature hundreds of member profiles written directly by members sharing their faith, answering questions, and relating gospel experiences.

The English version has also received various updates and needs testing as well. The English version of Mormon.org is available at http://cint.mormon.org.

JustServe.org

Another site, JustServe.org, is also available for testing at http://cint.justserve.org. The JustServe.org site (also in beta) empowers organizations around the world to sponsor, staff, and fulfill service projects and opportunities in their respective communities. JustServe.org has the potential to bring communities together, break down religious intolerance, and create opportunities for volunteers to experience the joy of service. So far JustServe.org has been a successful pilot in the San Jose, California area. The available communities will soon expand with the official release.

Testing needs

The Mormon.org / JustServe.org project team has identified a number of tasks they want users to explore on the new sites. You don’t need to speak Spanish to test the Mormon.org site, but knowing Spanish will help. Each of these tasks is listed in Swarm, the new crowdsource testing tool developed by LDSTech.

To get involved in testing the new sites, you need to join the Mormon.org / JustServe.org Testing project on LDSTech. Once you join the project, you will have access to the Swarm instance of the project. You will also be included in the Google Group for the project, where you will receive direct instruction from project leaders.

To join the Mormon.org / JustServe.org project:

  1. On LDSTech, click Sign In and sign in with your LDS Account.
  2. Click Projects on the top menu.
  3. If you haven’t completed your profile on the Profile submenu bar, complete it. Be sure to sign the contributor’s agreement.
  4. Click Projects on the submenu bar, and then type Mormon.org in the Search field.
  5. Click the Mormon.org / JustServe.org Testing project.
  6. Scroll down and click Join.

Begin testing

Once you join the project, you can start testing the sites by proceeding through the test cases identified in Swarm. The Swarm test cases for Mormon.org / JustServe.org Testing are located here: https://tech.lds.org/swarm/projects/FIND.

In Swarm, you will be presented with a task the project team wants you to complete on the site. If you report that the site fails the task, your feedback will automatically be logged as a bug in JIRA, a project tracking system. If other volunteers fail the same test cases, their reports will be added as comments to the original JIRA item. This helps centralize the feedback into common threads.

If you have feedback that falls outside of the Swarm test cases, you can post it on the LDSTech forum or send it directly to Matt DeYoung at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
