Placement in Wiki

Where could something like this go? I'm also planning on a page about's design, the LDSUniversalPlayer, and possibly other church sites.

My goal is to make it easier for the community to get involved in designing, or working on, anything to do with one of those sites. The more information that is open and available, the more informed and helpful the community can be.

At this point, I don't think the Church is asking for community involvement for these sites. The development is purely internal. However, the principles used are helpful in any Web development, and particularly in developing projects for the Church. The scope of this wiki would not include the former, but definitely could include the latter.
As for where the page should go, that's something being discussed in an offline discussion. I'll let you know what comes of that discussion. -- Aebrown 17:19, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
You're right, they're not asking for help at the moment. Perhaps this will allow projects that are partially community projects (eg LUWS: Calendar (LUWS) and Ward & Stake Directory Application.) to better reuse what's already been developed, and look more consistent. I don't think they're doing a bad job, mind you. Quite the opposite, I think what's being done is awesome.
It's really hard for new people to get involved and up to speed. That's where this page comes in. It took me at least 10 hours of searching through the code to understand everything for myself while working on the YSA site and create some good mockups. I spent another 8 hours or so in the past few days putting together this page. Most people don't have the time to sift through thousands of lines of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript like that. So, I want to help them save time.
Of course, I will follow whatever priesthood direction I get. I look forward to hearing about that offline discussion. I am Happy to Help! --Techgurufloyd 23:41, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
