Talk:Year-end donor problems

What is the plan for Troubleshooting articles?

This article certainly contains helpful content. It is the bulk of a Troubleshooting article on titled Donor Record Issues and Mailing Labels, and I believe it was in an MLS message as well.

However, there are a lot of similar articles on, and as near as I can tell, this is the only article that has been moved here to the wiki. That makes me wonder what the plan is for other such articles. Was this just one random article that got copied here, or will they all eventually be moved over here? Will this become the main repository for such articles and eventually the troubleshooting section of will be phased out? Or will such articles remain in two places?

One advantage of having all the content here on the wiki is that it is then easy to link to the troubleshooting articles from other wiki pages. Also, the usefulness of the troubleshooting articles can be increased by linking to other related articles on the wiki. So I would like to see the content moved over, but if this is desired, then it would be good to have a plan for moving them, and how we will title and categorize them. -- Aebrown 19:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Brother Brown, I agree that the content on could and should migrate to the wiki. We haven't determined a timeframe yet, but it makes sense that we not store content in both places, and the wiki is the better place. I know that the call center support team also plans to migrate the contents of their extensive knowledge base to the wiki. LindsayRE
Thanks for the prompt answer. That helps me understand how these other information sources fit in with the wiki project. I certainly agree that we should avoid storing content in multiple places. -- Aebrown 17:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Recent edit to "Donor Record Is Not Linked to the Membership Record"

I undid the recent revision by Diegohall on 14:52, 6 June 2010 (UTC). The information that was there previously (and has been restored) is correct and describes how to link a single donor record is not linked to the correct membership record. The edited text was talking about merging donors, which does not apply to the question being answered. -- Aebrown 20:19, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
