Talk:Ward vehicle ownership
Statements of Church policy should be accurate, and where possible backed up by an official source. There has been discussion of this on the Ward vehicle Thread on the LDSTech Discussion Forum, but no official sources were found to back up the speculation regarding trailers. Thus I have removed the speculative elements of this page, and provided a reference to the one statement that is actual policy. -- Aebrown 12:57, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Is page needed?
This page might not be needed. There is no link to it, and the last update was in 2010. I don't know if we can track viewing statistics, but for this page they can't be high. Dwsmith2 22:27, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I agree. Although there is no explicit link, it is shown on the Finance category page which is linked to from the Clerk home page. So the page can be found in just 3 clicks (Clerk Home Page, Finance|More..., Ward vehicle ownership). And I don't think the frequency of viewing is important either. To my mind if a page answers a relevant question that someone might have, however infrequently, then it's useful. As for whether it contains any real information, I suppose that's debatable. It doesn't have anything that can't be found with a search of the CHI. But I don't think it's a bad thing to have another path to the CHI reference. -- Eric Blood 01:13, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- I tend to agree with Eric. The content is useful. It's irrelevant when the last update was -- an accurate article on a settled subject doesn't need to be updated. I'll agree with Dwsmith2 that it would be good to have it linked (besides the from the category page), but that's an issue with other pages that could link to it, not with this page itself. I'm removing the Delete template. We can certainly restore it if this discussion leads to a consensus to delete the page, but that's not the direction the discussion is heading at this point, so having a Delete template is misleading for now. -- Aebrown 13:39, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
