Talk:Troubleshooting MLS transmission problems
What's the difference between an "MLS communication problem" and an "MLS transmission problem"? They seem to be used interchangebly in this article. I think "Troubleshooting MLS Transmission Problems" might be a better title for this page. Lindsayre 15:05, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- "MLS communication problem" and "MLS transmission problem" mean the same thing. I agree that we should select one term to use consistently.
- My initial idea for this page came when I read the MLS FAQ page. I saw some "how to" and some "troubleshooting." I thought it would be a good idea to separate them. This page was created with the idea that we could put all MLS troubleshooting help here. One page I would like to move or link is the "Lost Username" page. Maybe "Troubleshooting MLS" would be a better name. Please share any thoughts or ideas. birdld
- In looking at the MLS Frequently Asked Questions page, I think the formatting for that page should be used for this one. There are many issues that are frequently in need of troubleshooting, above and beyond transmission or communication issues. I think that this page might be better if we "capsulize and link" all the information in a Q and A style page with summary paragraphs and links to pages with more information. --Caleb 16:43, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with the capsulization approach. I don't like FAQs that become dumping grounds for random bits of information. But this page is long enough to warrant its own page. Don't append it to some other longer FAQ page. Lindsayre 16:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
