Hymn text in PowerPoint format

A lot of people have put a lot of work into putting hymns into a PowerPoint format so they can be seen during an event. I think it would be great to build a library of these hymns that we could all put into and pull out of as needs arise. If anyone is interested in doing this I think that the wiki here is the best place to do this. What are any of your thoughts? Troy 18:33, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

It seems like it would be helpful to share a PPT template, or format that works. That's certainly a worthwhile resource to store on the wiki. But once you have a template, putting the actual words into it should take only a couple of minutes. All you have to do is get the text from the text-only hymns on and paste it into the existing template. It's a lot of work to create and maintain a whole library of hymns, just to save a couple of minutes of work. -- Aebrown 22:41, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
While this is true and another good idea. There are some who have been using the whole measure so that notes could be seen as well. I think that having both templates here would be great as well. -- Troy 19:33, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
I'm concerned about copyright issues. Even the Church's text-only hymn site doesn't include all the hymns due to copyright restrictions. Lindsayre 21:09, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Couldn't we as the community and Church developers work together to make sure the hosted powerpoint templates and/or fully populated slides on this wiki don't contain any of the copyrighted hymns? -- Mike Murray 23:43, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
