Talk:Installing and activating the Cisco 881W meetinghouse firewall

If the Cisco 881W meetinghouse firewall does not detect an Internet connection, the first screen you will see when trying to acitvate is the Internet Connection Not Found page where you have a few options to customize your connection to the Internet. This typically only happens if the ISP is not providing a dynamic IP address (DHCP). The options you can then customize are PPPoE, Static IP and CradlePoint. This information can be moved to a primary article. Paulscherbel 15:18, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

In Western Canada if you are using an ADSL connection from Telus, [1] or Open Concept Internet [2] you will have to use the Static IP option. When you order the Static IP, you will need to get the following information: the Static IP, Default Gateway, Subnet Mask and DNS Server information.

Here are some changes different from the Installation steps and the graphic. The graphic needs to be updated with the following:

2. ISP modem

3. network port on a computer

4. redirected to the

4. of the firewall

4. activation should take approximately 30 minutes.
