Will there be links to the Book of Mormon and Bible ePub files put on or pages within the Gospel Library on -- Richmanll 10:56, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

DRM protected?

Are these files DRM protected. If so, they WON'T work on the Sony Reader. Sony Reader will only allow DRM files purchased from the Sony eStore. -- Richmanll 10:56, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

These are NOT protected files. There is no DRM associated with these files. You should be able to transfer them to your ereader transfer software and include them in your ePub compatible ereader. -- Jaredwhittle 21:51, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Other Standard Works?

How soon could we expect the other Standard Works? Do you need help converting to ePub? Like crowdsourcing the markup or something. -- Schlagk 21:26, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Hymn book?

I just got my iPad, and I'd love to have the Hymn book available on it in full, PDF-like glory. I'd be willing to help with that project as well. Not sure how to do it, since ePub isn't really capable of musical scores. -- Schlagk 21:26, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

HTML file sizes

Thanks so much for providing the scriptures in EPUB. I just bought a Sony Daily Edition and the first thing I added was my lesson manual and scriptures. Initially I added all of them in PDF which isn't ideal...especially for the scriptures. Then I found your epubs! Just a couple of notes: I'm new to epubs so I didn't intially understand the format. I unzipped the provided files and tried to import them, but that didn't work. After a little searching on the web, I realized all I had to do was change the .zip to .epub and then import them to the reader software. In the reader software I could view the files, but once I synced with the device, I received a page error. I couldn't find anything in the xtml files that caused the problem. A little more searching on the web led me to the fact that many ereaders can't handle large html files in an epub document with the limit being around 300kb for the Sony. For the Book of Mormon, Alma was the main culprit. In the bible it was Psalms. I downloaded Calibre, loaded your epub files and then created new ones. The default setting splits any files larger than 260kb. Apparently that is the size limit required for Adobe Digital Editions. I would love to see the epubs recreated with that specification so they are available to more people, as well as any future editions you might prepare. -- Jmiller102 3:45, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Bible worked, but Book of Mormon did not. Once converted (split at 260 kB) with Calibre, the Book of Mormon worked on my PRS-600. -- jeffdahl 10 Aug 2010

ePub File Location

Where can I find the ePub files? I just looked in the Gospel Library and can not find ePubs. -- Hubbsj 15:20, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

The links to the ePub files are located in the wiki article under Downloads. -- Aebrown 16:29, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Copying the File into iTunes - rename from .zip to .epub

Many People will have worked this out for themselves, but it stumped me for a while so I thought i'd share: The instructions for iPad/iPhone iOS4 omit that the files as downloaded have a .zip extension. It is necessary to rename the files to .epub before iTune will recognise them as eBooks.--Srja 07:13, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
