Please read the table below to learn about new features in PVC 2.1, which was implemented on October 27, 2011:

Feature	Details	How to use
Improved performance for low-bandwidth situations	The limited bandwidth profile now allows calls down to bandwidth as low as 120Kbps	If you are experiencing poor video or audio quality, or if your calls are dropping frequently, and if you have relatively low Internet bandwidth available to you, selecting the Limited Bandwidth profile should now improve your results. The previous version of PVC would not hold calls if bandwidth dropped below about 220Kbps. The new version can hold a call down to 120Kbps, if you have selected the Limited Bandwidth profile. To select it, go to the Configuration window by doing either of the following: Right-click on the Vidyo icon in your system tray (lower right part of your screen for Windows users), and select Configuration. While in a PVC call, click on the Configuration icon at the top of the screen (looks like a gear wheel) On the Configuration window, select the Video tab on the left side. Then select Limited Bandwidth.
VidyoReplay recorder (currently available only for workforce users)	Allows you to record a PVC call, and then view and download the recording	To use the VidyoReplay recording functionality: Begin a PVC meeting (join your own room, call someone else directly, or join their room). Go back to your browser (PVC portal). Click on Control Meeting (top right). Select Recording Profile (basic, high, standard) - you have to click directly on the words; the down-arrow is just for show. Click on red Record button. You will hear an entry tone as if a new user has joined your meeting. Go back to Vidyo client window and conduct your meeting. You will notice a red dot on the window, indicating that you are currently recording. When done, go to the portal and click on red Record button to stop recording. Click on VidyoReplay Library button to pull up web page showing saved recordings. Once on the VidyoReplay Library page, you will see the videos you have recorded. There are two views: All Videos - shows your recorded videos plus all public videos from other users My Videos - only shows your recorded videos In either view, simply click on the video thumbnail to play the video directly on the web page. In the My Videos view, you have several options: Edit On this screen, you can change the video title, and set viewing rights. Private means only you can see it. Organization or Public will allow all other PVC users to see the video. You can set a PIN for the video so that only people with the PIN can view it, regardless of the privacy setting. Below the window showing the video, you will see the Recording Link. You can click on the email icon next to the link to generate an email with a link to the recording, and then send it to whomever you would like. You can also copy the link and then paste it into an email or a browser address bar. Download This allows you to download your video to your PC. File format for downloaded recordings is .FLV, which is a less-common video file format. It cannot be viewed in Windows Media Player or Quicktime. VLC Video Player will play .FLV files. Download here. Email & delete Email the link to the video; delete the file. Note: this system also includes the capability to do live streaming while simultaneously making a recording of the stream. Client for mobile devices	Allows you to participate in PVC calls from an iPhone, iPad 2, or Android devices	On your iPhone or iPad 2, go to the App Store, search for the word “Vidyo”, and install the VidyoMobile app. On your Android device, go to the Market app, search for VidyoMobile (exactly), and install the app. Minimum requirements (previous versions are not supported): VidyoMobile version 1.0.2 iOS 4.2 or later Android 2.3 or later When you launch the app, enter the following (the VidyoMobile client has a requirement that you enter your username case-sensitive the first time you log in - see Q&A below): Portal: pvc-portal.lds.org Username: LDS Account Username Password: LDS Account Password Once you are logged in (can't be logged in from two devices at the same time), you can join your own room, or look up other users and call them. Q: How do I look up my username to know which letters are capitalized? A: For workforce users, open Outlook, click on Address Book, find your own name, and look at the entry in the Alias field on the General tab. You can also look at your SMTP address on the Email Addresses tab. In addition, for both workforce and non-workforce users, you can go to http://ldsaccount.lds.org, log in with your username and password, and the first field under Profile Information will show your username with any letters that are capitalized (some names are all lower-case). On-screen name tags for meeting participants	Shows the names of meeting participants on their video window (optional setting).	From Configuration (right-click on Vidyo system tray icon, or click gear wheel while in a call): Options tab Check “Show Participant Names”
