There are several products related to meetinghouse Internet. The following products can be purchased by facilities management groups through LDS eMarket:


Current Products

Answer these questions to see if you may need to order any of these items in addition to the meetinghouse firewall:

  • Will you need more than four connections to your meetinghouse firewall (including network jacks and access points)? If so, you will need an unmanaged network switch.
  • Will you need more wireless coverage than will be provided by the 881W? If so, you will need one or more Cisco 1041 wireless access points.
  • Is your Internet service being provided via 3G or 4G and not presenting you with an Ethernet connection? If so, you will need a CradlePoint CBA750.

Items not available through LDS eMarket

Some items that are part of a meetinghouse Internet and meetinghouse network set-up are not available through LDS eMarket. These items include:

  • Network cables
  • RJ-45 connectors and wall jacks
  • Patch panels
  • Racks, shelves, or mounting hardware
  • Wireless network cards

Warranty

Cisco 881 Wireless Firewall – All firewalls are purchased with a one-year SmartNet service, which includes a 1 year warranty from shipment to the Distribution Center. If the firewall does not work, first call the GSC to have them troubleshoot the device. The GSC can be reached at (801) 240-4357. Should the GSC agent determine the firewall is defective and within warranty, they will transfer the call to the Distribution Center to arrange the return and replacement of the device. If the device is out of the one-year warranty period,a new firewall will need to be purchased.

Cisco 1041N Wireless Access Point – This Cisco product hardware warranty is supported for as long as the original end user continues to own or use the product, provided that the fan and power supply warranty is limited to 5 years. In the event of a discontinuance of product manufacture, the Cisco warranty support is limited to 5 years from the announcement of the discontinuance. If the wireless access point does not work, first call the GSC to have them troubleshoot the device. The GSC can be reached at (801) 240-4357. Should the GSC agent determine the wireless access point is defective and within warranty, they will transfer the call to the Distribution Center to arrange the return and replacement of the device. If the device is out of the five-year limited warranty period, a new wireless access point will need to be purchased.

Cisco In-line Power over Ethernet (PoE) Injector – This Cisco product hardware warranty is supported for as long as the original end user continues to own or use the product, provided that the fan and power supply warranty is limited to 5 years. In the event of a discontinuance of product manufacture, the Cisco warranty support is limited to 5 years from the announcement of the discontinuance. Should the device fail, please contact the Distribution Center where the product was purchased (U.S. & Canada) (800) 537-5971 or (Outside U.S. & Canada) please call your local Distribution Center.

Cisco 16-port Unmanaged Switch – Cisco Small Business products offer a limited lifetime hardware warranty with return-to-factory replacement and a 1-year limited warranty for fans and power supplies. Should the device fail, please contact the Distribution Center where the product was purchased (U.S. & Canada) (800) 537-5971 or (Outside U.S. & Canada) please call your local Distribution Center.

CradlePoint CBA 750 – There is a one year parts and labor warranty. Should the device fail, please contact the Distribution Center where the product was purchased (U.S. & Canada) (800) 537-5971 or (Outside U.S. & Canada) please call your local Distribution Center.
