These plug-ins query the Unnoc MySQL database and return the requested value. They also compare the results against the specified thresholds.

check_vmware_esx_guest.pl

This plugin checks the CPU, CPU-Ready, Memory, Memory Ballooning, and Swap for the specified Virtual Machine.

  • -H <VIRTUAL HOST>
  • -w <Warning threshold> Required for CPU (as a %), CPU % Ready (as a %), Memory (as a %), and Swap (in KB) checks.
  • -c <Critical threshold> Required for CPU (as a %), CPU % Ready (as a %), Memory (as a %), and Swap (in KB) checks.
  • -t <Type of resource you want to check. Options are:
    • cpu (% of cpu used of allocated)
    • cpu-ready (% of sample period (20 secs) waiting for cpu)
    • mem (% of guest memory used)
    • mem-balloon (KB of memory held by memory control for ballooning)
    • swap (KB of memory that is swapped).

Note: The cpu, cpu-ready, mem-balloon, and swap options require the Unnoc modifications.

check_vmware_esx_server.pl

This plugin checks the CPU, Memory, and VM Count for the specified ESX Host.

  • -H <ESX HOST>
  • -w <Warning threshold> Required for CPU and Memory checks.
  • -c <Critical threshold> Required for CPU and Memory checks.
  • -t <Type of resource you want to check. Options are: cpu, mem, or state>

check_vmware_vcms.pl

This plugin checks the VM State Count and Datastore Status for the specified VCMS Host.

  • -H <VCMS HOST>
  • -w <Warning threshold> Required for Datastore usage checking (as % free).
  • -c <Critical threshold> Required for Datastore usage checking (as % free).
  • -t <Type of resource you want to check. Options are: state or datastore>
  • -d <Datastore Volume Name> - Required for Datastore usage checking.
  • -l <YES> List all VMFS Datastores attatched to this VCMS.

Note: The datastore option requires the Unnoc modifications.
