ETSI is a European standard for wireless. It is the European equivalent of FCC compliance and is required for radio devices used within the European Union and other affiliate countries. Any qualifying device requires ETSI and CE certification before it can legally be used.

It impacts the Church because through centralised distribution the Church can only provide an FCC/CE compliant device and not and ETSI/CE compliant device.

We are working though the issues by sourcing ETSI/CE approved devices from within the European Union and distributing them through the Church Distribution Centre located in Germany.

Stake Technology Specialists (STS) should work with their local Facility Manager (FM) if they require a new firewall, or if advised that they have an existing firewall that needs replacing.

FM's will be notified when supplies are available for shipping.
