Consuming SOAP web services

The Stack WS Spring module has useful functionality for consuming SOAP web services. The recommended practice for using the Stack WS Spring module to consume SOAP services is:

  1. Add the Java interfaces for the web service to your project. If these aren't provided, you can generate them form a WSDL, using CXF's WSDL to Java and then add them to your project.
  2. Add the Stack WS Spring module to your project, as shown here.
  3. Add the namespace information for Stack-WS to your application context, as shown here.
  4. Configure your web service in Spring, as shown in the Consuming Web Services section.
